Sunset over Bellevue Heights

A huge expanse of febrile fronds
A gentle slope to beach and plain
We’re perched upon a gentle rise
Which lovingly absorbs the rain.

From the patio I observe the view
The day’s heat slowly cools at last
The arid landscape breathes anew
Dusk is upon us very fast.

A lobster glow with coral streaks
Encompasses this panorama
All shades of red in troughs and peaks
Sunset Down Under is pure drama!
