Time to burn the Christmas tree
Except that here, this Pagan rite
Might set the family house alight!
The fir tree is not native here
And though at first it might appear
That groves are planted for this fete
Most Christmas trees in Oz are fake!
The world goes back to work again
Daily stress in the fast lane
With Star and tree packed in their box -
Forgotten the shepherds and their flocks…
