Has a ring about it and for some
A meaning which is quite unique
Mum reaches this age as we speak!
Three score years and ten are past
Venerable 80 was a blast
90 was a milestone too
But vistas new hove into view.
Last year saw her life mate depart
And with him a piece of her heart
But joy of joys! This year began
With the birth of such a fine young man.
Named Thomas too, sweet-faced and fair
Of Nordic colouring like her
She revels in her status new
Granny Mary – we love you!
