In witty rhyming couplets by midnight
An account of something I have seen
Or heard or watched on TV screen.
Natural disaster, changing season
An event which strikes me for some reason
An amusing, overheard remark
Or anecdote might be the spark
That sets a train of thought in motion
Like a ship that sails upon the ocean
Its destination quite unknown
Yet with a logic of its own.
Words tumble out, fall into place
A theme appears and on we race
Excited now to follow through
And pen this daily poem for you!
Most of you I’ve never met
Somehow you’ve found me on the Net
So thanks to all who pass this way
